We all want to feel and look good.

It is one of human’s natural predisposition – we would like to look good.
We, both women and men (just varying in a few minutes –uhm, okay few hours in some cases), spend time preparing ourselves whenever we are going out into the world. We have the tendency to be detailed when it comes to the things we use on our body. We carefully choose our soaps, shampoo, moisturizers, clothes, accessories, and shoes, making sure that it will make us look or feel beautiful. We try our very best to eat right, work out regularly and maintain proper posture so as to prevent medical conditions that could alter the way we present ourselves to others.
We feel upset when we get wounded and it is completely normal. We are concerned about the scars it can eventually cause us. We tend to panic when we see zits, wrinkles, cellulites and those embarrassing varicosities. But because of the highly technological world we live in, we are disposed to worry less. We are now surrounded with an abundance of products and services that can clear all those physical flaws in a matter of few sessions. Skin peeling, liposuction, and laser vein treatment Phoenix, for example are some of the thousand procedures one can undergo. So cheer up because for every problem there is really a solution.

Get to a positive level in your life.

How good does it feel when you’ve had one of those good laughs? You know where you can’t breathe, your stomach hurts, and your face feels like it’s stuck in smile mode? It feels fantastic of course. How about when you are upset in some way, and it’s one of those moods where you just don’t want to laugh, but then someone breaks that barrier and cracks you up? Laughing means you are happy or at least having a happy moment and in that moment you forget about anything bad or negative in your life and just smile. With all that being said we can safely say that laughter is the best medicine. Humor is one of society’s favorite ways to be entertained. In hospitals and senior care facilities humor is used all of the time to cheer people up. When we are around children and babies what do we do? We try to make them laugh or smile of course. Laughter is even used in awkward situations, such as meeting your boyfriend’s parents for the first time, trying to make friends at a new school, or trying to break the ice at a doctor’s visit. Everyone feels more comfortable when there is laughing and smiling around. Feeling comfort is a feeling anyone wants and the people that don’t physically have that luxury all of the time can at least catch a glimpse of it in a laugh. Just being positive in general is enough to help your health. Mental health can affect anyone’s physical health whether it is positive or negative. Of course your self-confidence shares in your health image as well. If you are not satisfied with your body, you are in the Phoenix area, and would like treatment, such as laser vein treatment we at Ciao Bella are here to help you with your confidence.

Our goal is to boost your self-confidence.

“Be confident in the skin you are in, because that is the only body you will ever have, the only place that will ever be solely yours. Even if you will never be as skinny as those super models, or the beauty who makes everyone stare, you can be beautiful in your own way. And you have to accept that and own it.” Deejae Harper said it perfect if you ask me. No one body is the same and no one person is the same. The problem with today’s society is that people don’t realize how different they are because they compare themselves to others, which simply does not make sense. The only person you should compare yourself to is yourself yesterday.  When it comes to fitness and dieting you must create your own routine that works just for you. You can’t forget to account for your specific metabolism either. Fad diets are extremely silly because they advertise as if everyone will obtain the same results when in reality that said diet probably only works well for a certain body type. It doesn’t require anything fancy to live a healthy life. You don’t need an expensive gym membership either. Working out for free at home and choosing to have a nutritious diet is all it takes, simple as that. Remember the right mental state is necessary, such as a positive attitude and motivation. Mental health and physical health go hand in hand. We realize there are some cosmetic things about your body that you simply cannot do anything about without the help from a professional. That is where we come in. There are many things that will hinder your self-confidence, such as pesky spider veins, fatty areas that just will not go away, or if you have a particular area you dislike and want it enhanced. We provide state-of-the-art techniques in minimally invasive and traditional cosmetic surgery procedures including laser vein treatment in Scottsdale and the surrounding Phoenix Metro area. What we really do is help you obtain self-confidence and get you on the road to happiness.

Oh those evil spider veins.

Venous disease affects many residents of Arizona but most times it goes unnoticed due to it being under-diagnosed. It is still to be taken seriously of course. Usually, spider veins are the least serious of all venous conditions. Mostly they are thought of as unattractive and with today's modern science you no longer have to live with these unsightly veins or their stigma.

Venous disease is due to a variety of factors, including age, genetics, and spending long periods of time on your feet. When veins are placed under prolonged extra internal pressure, they may come to the surface as visible lines. More serious conditions have the potential to lead to ulceration. Small veins that emerge to the surface in a pattern resembling the branching of trees or a spider web are called spider veins.

We pride ourselves here at Ciao Bella Medical Spa on being the Arizona expert on removing these pesky spots with modern spider vein laser treatment. This safe treatment uses laser light to cause the veins to diminish and disappear, ensuring a safe and pleasing outcome to a straightforward cosmetic procedure. With the "total patient care, the hallmark of what we do here at Ciao Bella Medical Spa, patients can rest assured that everything will be completed in a professional and caring way while achieving the best results possible. Spider veins are not dangerous, but may be precursors of other more serious problems and since we are a true medical facility, these problems can be identified before they worsen.

Laser treatment is extremely safe. Other natural measures such as elevating the feet often, losing weight, and wearing supportive hosiery can sometimes help but also can be very frustrating. With the most advanced treatments available, you are certain to find satisfaction with us.

We would be honored to help you find your confidence again.

Spider veins can be very painful if not treated on time. Most people with spider veins often complain about slight aches, pains, and even burning sensations. Treatment options are now available that help to remove spider veins easily. These treatments remove those thin red lines or spider web-like blood vessel networks that appear on your limbs or feet. Many clinics offer two types of varicose vein treatment, also known as sclerotherapy and laser surgery. In the first therapy, doctors inject a solution into the veins. This solution helps to minimize scars and closing veins. This will reroute blood through healthier veins by fading spider veins gradually. In a few weeks, spider veins start to fade. Sometimes, your doctor will decide whether you need another injection or not. The injected area may show slight swelling and itching.

Laser surgery is another method to remove spider veins. Doctors use strong bursts of laser lights to treat spider veins. Gradually, the veins will fade and disappear. This is the easiest therapy for spider vein treatment, as this is a non-invasive method and many patients prefer this therapy over the sclerotherapy. However, this method is less effective than scelotherapy. Sometimes, patients may show slight bruising, itching, and swelling in the treated area. Occasionally, laser surgery can also cause blistering of the skin, which may leave permanent scars. However, laser therapy can slowly fade spider veins without any invasive procedure.

Ciao Bella Medical Spa and Vein Clinic offer specialized services for spider vein removal. The clinic’s expert doctors first diagnose the problem before treating it. Only certified professionals treat venous problems and spider vein issues. Those with problems of varicose vein and spider veins can consult the Ciao Bella spider vein treatment center for effective diagnosis and treatment. Ciao Bella Medical Spa wants to aid in the restoration of your confidence and they would be honored to do so.

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow!

If you are tired of annoying shaving, painful waxing, tedious tweezing or noxious chemicals to remove unwanted body hair, then laser hair removal is the answer for you! Laser hair removal is the process of removing unwanted hair by means of exposure to pulses of laser light that destroy the hair follicle. Since it can be performed quickly and relatively painlessly on any part of the body for both men and women, it’s no wonder laser hair reduction is one of the most commonly performed cosmetic procedures in the country.

True laser hair removal is more than just ''zapping'' unwanted hair. It is a medical procedure that requires training to perform and carries potential risks. Before getting any laser hair removal procedure, you should thoroughly check the credentials of the doctor or technician performing the procedure. The advantage to this technology is that lasers can selectively target darker, coarser hairs while leaving the surrounding skin undamaged. A skilled professional has been trained in how to adjust the laser equipment according to color, thickness and location of the hair being treated, as well as taking into consideration the color of the skin the hair is growing from. Each pulse of a laser takes a fraction of a second, but can treat many hair follicles at the same time. Most lasers can treat an area approximately the size of a quarter every second. Through a series of laser treatments, the hair follicles start to die out, decreasing hair growth by an average of 80%. http://www.webmd.com/beauty/hair-removal/laser-hair-removal

So stop wasting time and money trying to getting rid of hair that is just going to grow back! Laser hair removal can be a permanent solution. At Ciao Bella we offer several of the best and latest technologies for laser hair reduction performed by our expertly trained and experienced laser technician. Our technician evaluates each individual’s situation so recommendations can be made for the best technology for the client. To learn more about our laser hair removal and reduction procedures, please visit our website or simply call us to schedule your laser hair consultation with our technician at (480) 686-8121.

What's the Difference Between Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery?

If you think cosmetic surgery and plastic surgery are the same thing, think again. Many people make this common assumption, but there is a difference between the two.  In general, many plastic surgeons choose to focus their practice on cosmetic surgery and thus the term cosmetic surgery has seemingly become synonymous with plastic surgery among most patients. Though cosmetic and plastic surgery are closely related specialties, they are not technically the same.

Determining whether a patient needs plastic or cosmetic surgery depends on what is trying to be accomplished and thus which type of doctor will perform it. To help one understand the differences between the two surgeons who perform these procedures and why it is important to understand their differences, there are two main points to expound upon. The first being, cosmetic surgery and plastic surgery have different goals, and the second, cosmetic surgery training is obtained separately from plastic surgery training.

“The procedures, techniques, and principles of cosmetic surgery are entirely focused on enhancing a patient’s appearance. Improving aesthetic appeal, symmetry, and proportion are the key goals. Cosmetic surgery can be performed on all areas of the head, neck, and body. Because the treated areas function properly, cosmetic surgery is elective. Cosmetic surgery is practiced by doctors from a variety of medical fields, including plastic surgeons…

“Plastic surgery is defined as a surgical specialty dedicated to reconstruction of facial and body defects due to birth disorders, trauma, burns, and disease. Plastic surgery is intended to correct dysfunctional areas of the body and is reconstructive in nature. Plastic and reconstructive surgeons are one in the same.” To read more about these goals and learn the differences between cosmetic and plastic surgeon’s training, please visit the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery website.

At Ciao Bella Med Spa and Vein Clinic, we are proud to have both a board certified plastic surgeon and board certified cosmetic surgeon, both with extensive training, experience and medical backgrounds which make them outstanding surgeons. By having surgeons with both plastic and cosmetic qualifications available to our patients, our doctors not only continue to produce the exceptional results Ciao Bella has become known for, but they are able to collaborate on major surgeries to provide a superior level of experience, specialties and broader skillset for excellent results. Dreaming of Augmentation?

Breast augmentation is one of the most sought after cosmetic procedures among women. It can dramatically enhance the size and shape of a woman’s breasts, even correcting a number of issues including asymmetric conditions, congenital deformities and breast cancer. Each woman is unique and there are many breast implant surgery options to choose from.
Breast implant technology for augmentation has come a long way, giving women today the very best options for more natural results than ever before. Improvements in surgical methods and breast implant technology have made this procedure safer and more refined, providing better post-surgical results every year, making breast augmentation with implants the most common and uncomplicated cosmetic surgery procedure.
Breast implants come in many sizes and shapes and can be either silicone gel or saline. Though both types provide highly successful results, there are many factors to take into consideration when choosing the type of breast implant for surgery. These should be discussed with a qualified cosmetic surgeon and based on your desired results for profile and feel, and not just size. Other things to take into account with your surgeon include positioning, surface texture, shape and personal anatomy. Augmentation can be very successful and rewarding when performed on the right patient, however, it is not always appropriate for every woman. The best way to determine if someone is a good candidate is with a thorough, in-person examination and evaluation by a qualified cosmetic surgeon.
Let us help you begin your journey to decide what kind of implant is right for you. At Ciao Bella Medical Spa, a breast augmentation evaluation is performed during your initial $50.00 consultation with Dr. Edgardo Zavala. Your initial consultation covers many aspects, beginning with discussing your personal goals, anatomy and any other influencing factors. We offer silicone gel-filled and saline-filled implants from the two leaders in breast implant technology. Dr. Zavala explains all of the pros and cons of each implant technique and placement to help you make a decision you are confident about to fit your goals. We also offer a unique opportunity through our Vectra 3D studio to photograph each patient and produce a 3D image. Using the Vectra 3D Sculptor software, Dr. Zavala is able to simulate the expected results for your own breast augmentation surgery. To learn more about our breast augmentation process and procedure, please visit our website or call us to schedule your initial consultation at (480) 686-8121.

Vanquishing Vexing Varicose Veins!

A majority of American adults have or will develop spider veins or varicose veins in their legs during their lifetime. If you have them, you’re not alone, and you didn’t necessarily do anything wrong or live an unhealthy lifestyle to develop them either. There are a number of factors which cause a person to develop these veins. Some causes can be heredity or hormonal influences such as pregnancy, puberty or menopause. There are even influencing factors such as obesity, occupations that involve a lot of standing, and trauma or injury to the skin. Whatever the reason a person develops spider or varicose veins, it is important to know they are a symptom of venous disease.
For most people, varicose and spider veins are merely unsightly, but as venous disease worsens, for some they can make walking and standing extremely painful. In extreme cases, these diseased veins can cause skin ulcers. Unfortunately, there is no way to entirely avoid developing venous disease and the unsightly symptoms that go along with it. You can take comfort, however, in knowing that regardless of what influence developed them and what type of problem they are now posing, no one has to live with their varicose or spider veins.
Laser vein treatment is an option that can be performed in less than 30 minutes and leaves no scars. This type of treatment does not require hospitalization and patients can return to their normal routine immediately. Best of all, most insurance plans cover the diagnosis and treatment of venous disease. Anyone experiencing the symptoms of spider veins or varicose veins from venous disease should look into these treatment options.
Ciao Bella Vein Clinic offers free consultations and fully diagnoses each individual's specific condition so each individual can be treated the most effective way possible. Our Vein Clinic uses the most advanced technology and treatment options for spider and varicose veins, ensuring a pain-free, professional experience. How patients feel during and after their procedure with Ciao Bella Vein Clinic is a great source of pride to us.
Ciao Bella Vein Clinic was founded in 2007 by Dr. Edgardo Zavala-Alarcon, M.D., who is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Vascular Medicine, the American Board of Echocardiography and the American Board of Phlebology. We have served the greater Phoenix community diagnosing and treating this under-diagnosed disease for both men and women.
