A Day Just For Doctors

What would our lives be like without doctors? We shudder to think! But it gives way for us to take a moment and acknowledge how different our lives would be without the contributions of our physicians in modern medicine. Thank goodness we are not the only ones who recognize the impact of doctors in our society! March 30th is National Doctor's Day, so it’s the perfect opportunity to show our gratitude for those who influence our lives so personally.

Since the originally celebrated day in 1933 known as “Doctors’ Day” in Winder, Georgia, a tradition of gratitude has continued as a way to recognize the contributions of doctors to individual lives and communities.” http://www.ama-assn.org/ama/pub/news/news/doctors-day-services.page  "Doctors' Day marks the date that Crawford W. Long, M.D., of Jefferson, GA, administered the first ether anesthetic for surgery on March 30, 1842. On that day, Dr. Long administered ether anesthesia to a patient and then operated to remove a tumor from the man's neck. Later, the patient would swear that he felt nothing during the surgery and was not aware the surgery was over until he awoke.”  http://www.cute-calendar.com/event/national-doctors-day/12869-usa.html

"The U.S. House of Representatives adopted a resolution commemorating Doctors’ Day on March 30, 1958. In 1990, the U.S. Congress overwhelmingly approved legislation establishing a National Doctors’ Day and then-President George H.W. Bush signed the resolution. The first National Doctors’ Day was celebrated on March 30, 1991.

We here at Ciao Bella Medical Spa and Vein Clinic are particularly grateful to work for Dr. Edgardo Zavala-Alarcon and Dr. Andres Zavala who exemplify these attributes which are recognized on National Doctor's Day. Not only do they provide exceptional individualized patient care through minimally invasive state-of-the-art techniques, but they are committed to improving people’s lives. In today’s society we have so many different lifestyles, so many paces, and so many options in nearly everything we do, including the doctors we choose. Schedule a free consultation and you too will see why we are privileged to wish them a Happy Doctor's Day!
